Show & Tell Monday: How I Met Your Father {LinkUp}

 How I Met Your Father

1. Tell us about how and when you met your love and what attracted you most to him.
Dennis and I met at Special Olympics softball. He was a volunteer player on the same team as my little sister. We actually knew each other for about a year before we started dating. I think that the thing that attracted me to him at first was how good he was with all the athletes on the team. He was amazing with my sister, and still is. Which means a lot to me.

2. Show us the very first (or one of the first) pictures you guys ever took together.
This was taken at my house after my high school graduation. We hadn't officially started dating yet but it was the first picture of us together. This isn't the best picture but it was taken with a disposable camera so it is what it is.

3. Tell us some of your favorite memories that you two had together.
We started dating the end of June and I moved to Idaho in the beginning of August. Before I moved he took me out to dinner then we went out by the river. He had me sit in the car with my eyes closed while he "set up". When I opened my eyes he had put a bunch of candles on the dock and had music playing and we danced. That is until someone in a boat started to come towards the dock so we picked everything up in a hurry and left. I later found out that he had called my cousin and told her that he wanted to do something special that I've always wanted a guy to do, but that no guy had ever done.

4. Tell us your favorite qualities about this man, what makes him "the one".
I think that one of the things that I love most about him is that even though we joke around alot he still does the little things like holding my hand and texting me in the morning after I've left for work to tell me that I look beautiful today. He will randomly text me during the day to say that he loves me and sometimes when I walk past his chair when he's watching TV he'll grab my hand and pull me down for a kiss. I absolutely love little things like that.

5. Tell us what your "date nights" typically look like.
Normal date nights for us consist of dinner and a movie. We don't really have a specific place that we go eat, just whatever sounds good. That being said, I do want to make a "date night jar".. has anyone else seen those on Pinterest? Oh! Maybe I should make that for the Saw it. Pinned it. Did it. link up this week!!

  1. Hi! Saw your link-up! LOVE the romantic date on the dock! He seems like such a sweet guy. The date night jar seems like such a good idea. I get stuck in the -dinner and movies- rut too. Glad I found you. :)
